Recording in Class

Tap record and JurisNote captures your lecture audio with a live waveform display. You can pause, resume, and annotate timestamps while the recording runs. There's no upload step — everything stays in your browser until you're ready to process it.

After class, the recording is processed through our transcription pipeline and a full-text transcript is attached to your session automatically.

Real-Time Rich-Text Notetaking

A full rich-text editor sits alongside the recorder so you can take structured notes as the professor speaks. Format with headers, bullet points, bold/italic, and code blocks. Your notes sync to the cloud as you type.

When class ends, export your notes directly to Microsoft Word — formatted and ready to share with your study group.

AI Smart Summaries & Logic Trees

After a recording is processed, JurisNote's AI reads your transcript and generates:

  • A smart summary — the 3-5 most important points from the lecture
  • A logic tree — a structured breakdown of how the professor organized the doctrine
  • Key terms — definitions extracted from the lecture text

You can edit any AI output. Everything generated is clearly labeled as AI-assisted content.

Linking Lectures to Your Outline

Once a lecture is processed, you can pull quotes or key points directly into the corresponding section of your course outline. A 'Lecture' node type in the outline editor lets you cite the specific recording and timestamp — so when exam prep starts, you know exactly which class session a doctrine came from.
